Installation Date: May 2016

Building Size: 12,440

Existing Equipment: T8 Fluorescent Lighting with Parabolic Lenses

Upgrades: Recessed LED Troffers with Integrated Lighting Controls

Challenge: All three floors of the facility had recessed fixtures with parabolic lenses. The directional characteristics of LED lamps don’t work well with parabolic lenses so a fixture retrofit was more suitable.

Solution: To cover the additional cost of new fixtures the utility’s tiered rebate structure was maximized. High lumen output fixtures were combined with dimming modules and integrated vacancy sensors to obtain both maximum rebates and savings.
